Abuja Land Ownership Now Requires Payment and COO, Says Ministers Spokesperson

Land ownership in Abuja is now conditional on payment of the Land Use Charge (LUC), according to a statement from the FCT Minister's spokesperson, Lere Olayinka. This change aims to address issues with the current land allocation system in the nation's capital.
Abuja residents have been informed that only valid land ownership can be used for transactions after payment has been made, according to a directive from the FCT Minister's office. The statement was made by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the FCT minister on Public Communications. This new regulation aims to curb illegal land deals and ensure transparency in property transactions within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). As of now, only legally recognized land ownership can be used for any official or unofficial purposes.
