Enugu SME Centre Empowers 150 Youths Through Construction Skills Training Programme

Enugu's Enugu SME Centre has completed its third edition of a construction skills TVET program, training 150 youths in plumbing, electrical installation, and maintenance. The program was part of an effort to empower local youth with vocational skills.

In a bid to equip the next generation with vocational skills, the Enugu SME Centre has successfully completed its third edition of the Construction Skills TVET Programme, which trained 150 youths in plumbing, electrical installation, and maintenance. The programme aims to address the shortage of skilled workers in the construction sector, providing participants with hands-on training and practical experience. As part of this initiative, the National Entrepreneurial Council for Africa (NECA) has also partnered with the centre to support the empowerment of young entrepreneurs in Enugu. The training has been designed to enhance the employability and entrepreneurial capabilities of its graduates.
