A metering company, Ziklagsis Network Ltd, has filed a lawsuit against the Federal Government and several other defendants at the Federal High Court in Abuja, claiming that they are being unfairly denied compensation for a failed contract worth N39.1 billion. The contract, which aimed to provide smart meters to electricity distribution companies across Nigeria, was declared unsound by the government last year. Ziklagsis Network Ltd is seeking to stop the defendants from proceeding with plans to re-tender the contract or cancel existing agreements.
