Chukwu had a successful playing career with clubs like Enugu Rangers and Enyimba before transitioning into coaching. Nwobodo also requested that the government support the well-being of elderly footballers through various initiatives. The senator's appeal is aimed at recognising Chukwu's contributions to Nigerian football.
