Nigerian Customs Seize 2,000 Bags of Rice, 844 Rifles in Single Operation

Nigeria's customs agency intercepted over 2,000 bags of foreign parboiled rice and 844 rifles in a recent operation, showcasing the unit's efforts to combat smuggling and crime.

The Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted a significant haul of illicit goods in a recent operation. Seven trucks carrying over 2,000 bags of 50kg foreign parboiled rice were seized in a single raid by Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, Ikeja. In addition to the rice, customs officials also recovered 844 rifles as part of the same interception. This successful operation demonstrates the ongoing efforts of Nigeria's customs authorities to combat smuggling and protect national interests.
