Over 11,852 Nigerians Repatriated in 23 Months from 10 Countries, IOM Reports

In a significant development, 11,852 Nigerians have been successfully repatriated from 10 countries over the past two and a half years, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The majority of these individuals were returned between January 2023 and November 25, 2024. This milestone marks a substantial achievement in the organization's efforts to assist Nigerians who have become displaced or are at risk due to various reasons. The IOM reports that these repatriations were facilitated from countries such as Libya, Italy, Ghana, Egypt, South Africa, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, and Spain.
