The judgment, which was upheld in June 2023, gave local governments control over their revenues and finances, a significant development aimed at boosting their operational capacities. However, despite this milestone, Sunday Punch reports that the implementation of the judgment remains stalled. NULGE is calling on Tinubu to ensure that local governments are able to manage their resources effectively without external interference or manipulation.
