UNFPA Repairs 45 VVF Patients in Sokoto State Hospital.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Fistula Foundation of Nigeria, supported by the Norwegian government, have successfully repaired 45 patients with Vesicovaginal Fistula in Sokoto State, a hospital is also being renovated.

The successful intervention aims to improve the quality of life for women affected by this debilitating condition, which can cause chronic bleeding and infertility. According to reports, a hospital in the state has undergone repairs as part of the initiative, although its current condition remains uncertain.
