Analilia Mejia Sworn In as New Jersey's First Latina Representative in Congress

Democrat Analilia Mejia was sworn in to the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday after decisively winning a special election in New Jersey's 11th Congressional District. The victory fills the seat vacated by Mikie Sherrill, who left the district to pursue other opportunities. Mejia won the election last week, solidifying her place as the new representative for the district. She is now set to serve out the remainder of Sherrill's term in Congress.
