B-52 Bomber Was On FAA-Approved Flight Path Before Near Miss Incident, Air Force Says

A B-52 bomber that had a near miss with a Delta Airlines regional jet over North Dakota on Friday was flying an FAA-approved flight path at the time, according to the US Air Force. The incident occurred as the B-52 aircraft approached a standard air traffic control route in the area. Despite the close call, no damage or injuries were reported from either the B-52 or the Delta regional jet. The cause of the near miss is currently under investigation.
