Ben & Jerry's accuses its parent company Unilever of firing its CEO over his support for the brand's progressive politics. The ice cream maker has filed an amended complaint in response to the alleged termination.

Ben & Jerry's accuses its parent company Unilever of firing its long-time CEO Niall Fitzgerald over his support for the company's progressive politics and views on social justice. The ice cream maker claims that the decision to let go its top executive was retaliation for its stance on issues such as Palestine and fracking. Ben & Jerry's is seeking damages from Unilever, claiming that it breached its employment contract with Fitzgerald when he left the company in 2020. The company has stated that the move was not related to his politics.
