Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas will face Republican former Sen. John E. Sununu in New Hampshire's open Senate seat, CNN projects.
Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas will face Republican former Sen. John E. Sununu in New Hampshire's open Senate seat, according to CNN's projection. The contest pits Pappas against a familiar foe from his home state, as Sununu seeks the seat previously held by retiring Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen. This election marks a significant test for Democrats in a traditionally red state.
