Christmas Spirit Returns to Bethlehem After Two Years of War in Gaza Strip

Thousands flocked to Bethlehem to celebrate Christmas for the first time since the implementation of a U.S.-brokered peace deal between Israel and Hamas, marking a significant return to festive spirit in the birthplace of Jesus after more than two years of conflict. The celebration was led by Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, who presided over the evening Mass at the Church of the Nativity. The event brought together Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities to come together and celebrate the holiday season.
