Cuomo Team Denies AOC's Claim He's Using NYC Mayoral Bid for White House Ambition
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's claim that Andrew Cuomo is using his mayoral run as a springboard to the White House has been denied by his team. The former governor's camp rejected her assertion that he is only seeking the mayorship to improve his presidential prospects.
Andrew Cuomo's team has denied claims by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that he is using his bid for New York City mayor as a springboard to the White House. The camp rejected her statement, saying it was 'baseless' and 'misinformed'. Cuomo is running for mayor in an effort to redeem himself after a series of scandals last year, rather than seeking higher office immediately. His team emphasized that his primary focus remains on governing New York City effectively.
