Democrat Torre Blasts Far-Left Elites for Pushing 'Absurdities' on Working-Class Voters
Rep. Ritchie Torres calls out far-left 'absurdities' from college-educated elites influencing NY Democrats, particularly in relation to policing policies. He spoke about the issue while discussing other topics on Thursday.
Rep. Ritchie Torres, a New York Democrat, criticized the influence of far-left 'college-educated elites' pushing absurd concepts like 'defund the police' to working-class voters within his own party. Torres argued that these ideas are out of touch with the needs and values of everyday Americans. The representative's comments come as some Democrats have faced backlash for their stances on issues such as policing reform and gun control.
