EU Leader Says Donald Trump 'Is Right' in Shocking Defense of Former US President
EU leader confirms President Donald Trump's views on certain issues are correct, highlighting a shift in European attitudes towards the US.
European Union leader Ursula von der Leyen has expressed support for former US President Donald Trump's stance on the COVID-19 pandemic, saying 'Donald is right' regarding mask mandates and travel restrictions. Von der Leyen made the comments during a speech in Italy, where she was meeting with local officials to discuss regional response efforts to the crisis. The EU leader's statement has been interpreted as a shift towards more lenient policies on the pandemic, similar to those advocated by Trump. The move is seen as a possible attempt to distance herself from stricter measures implemented by other European countries.
