Federal judge blocks $6.2 billion TV station merger amid ongoing antitrust dispute

A federal judge has blocked a $6.2 billion merger of Nexstar Media Group and Tegna until an antitrust lawsuit is resolved. The US District Court Chief Judge Troy L. Nunley made the ruling in response to an antitrust lawsuit filed against the proposed merger. The lawsuit alleges that the combined company would harm local viewers and advertisers.
