A Florida death row inmate used his last words to reiterate his claim of innocence just hours before being executed for setting fire to an elderly neighbor he claimed was burglarizing her own home. Chadwick Scott Willacy maintained his innocence despite being convicted of first-degree murder in 2015. The execution took place at the Florida State Prison in Raiford, marking the end of a nearly two-decade-long fight by Willacy's lawyers to secure his reprieve. Willacy was pronounced dead at 8:30am local time following lethal injection.
