Former LAPD Detective Re- arrested After Serving Just Fraction of Life Sentence for Rapes

A former Los Angeles vice detective who served a fraction of his 102-year sentence for multiple rapes before being paroled in 2020 has been re-arrested after a cold case review. The man was initially sentenced to prison three decades ago and had received time off due to a California law that allowed parole after serving 25 years. However, prosecutors have now reopened the case and charged him with additional crimes.
