Mamdani: Endorsements No Longer Decide Democratic Elections as Establishment Hesitates
Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani says the days of endorsements deciding elections are over as the party establishment hesitates in his New York City campaign.
New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani stated that 'days of endorsements deciding elections' are over as the Democratic establishment hesitates, implying a shift towards issues-based campaigning in the upcoming election. Mamdani's comments came after appearing on 'The Daily Show' with host Jon Stewart, where he discussed his candidacy and campaign strategy. The Democratic establishment has historically been significant in shaping the outcome of elections through their endorsements, but Mamdani suggests this influence is waning. This marks a notable shift towards a more issue-driven approach in the election campaign.
