Navy Vice Admiral Fired by Rep. Hegseth Advances to Runoff in South Carolina Dem Primary

Retired Navy Vice Admiral Nancy Lacore and local attorney Mac Deford will face off in a runoff election after advancing in the Democratic primary to replace Nancy Mace. Lacore was fired by Rep. Pete Hegseth, her former boss. The runoff is set to determine who will succeed Mace, but Hegseth also expressed support for Deford. The winner of the runoff will take on Hegseth in the general election.
