          Omaha City Councilman Brinker Harding has launched a bid to succeed outgoing U.S. Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., who announced he will not seek re-election next year. Harding, a husband and father of two, also owns a business in the city. The announcement comes as the Democratic Party may now see an opportunity to retake Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District seat. Bacon has represented the district since 2017.
