Operation Statewide Shield Rescues 163 Children Across Globe in Historic Florida-Led Sweep

A multi-agency effort in Florida has recovered 163 children from 2 months old to 17 across five continents during Operation Statewide Shield, Attorney General James Uthmeier announced. The operation targeted suspected child predators and resulted in the rescue of children from countries including the US, Canada, Jamaica, Haiti, and the UK. Law enforcement agencies collaborated on the effort, which was part of a historic state sweep to combat human trafficking and exploitation. Suspected perpetrators are currently being hunted by authorities.
