Romania offers military base access to US amid Strait of Hormuz tensions
Romania has agreed to allow US military access in the country's military bases in Eastern Europe and Romania is likely to participate in a joint military exercise with Israel in the Mediterranean region, amid growing tensions over Iran's missile program.
Romania's foreign minister said the country allowed the use of its military bases in Romania and Poland as a response to President Trump's call for allied support in the Middle East, which is part of a diplomatic effort.
