          The Trump administration has agreed to pay nearly $5 million to settle a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Ashli Babbitts, a North Attleboro native whose wife was fatally shot during the US Capitol riot. Babbittts' wife, Amber Avery, died in 2021 after being shot by a police officer while attempting to breach security at the Capitol. The settlement is part of a lawsuit filed against former President Trump and his administration over her death. The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.
