Trump Appointee to Investigate Governor, AG Over Alleged Order to Ignore ICE Warrants

Phil Murphy and Attorney General Matt Platkin over reported orders to ignore Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) warrants. The investigation is expected to examine whether the governor and AG complied with federal immigration policies. This move comes amid growing tensions between Trump's administration and Democratic leaders in New Jersey. The probe will be led by Alena Haase, who was appointed as U.S. attorney for New Jersey last year.
